Greetings, fellow sojourners! ๐Ÿ‘‹

My name is Jeff Block, and I have the privilege of leading the team of amazing disciple-makers who created the Found in Jesus material. We created this community to be a place of connection and collaboration. Perhaps we can help each other grow and help others grow.

I thought I'd start with a few introductory thoughts to help you get to know me a little better. Maybe others will follow suite, and that will open up some sharing about where the Lord has each of us and what He's working on in and through us.

I serve (another privilege!) as the Discipleship Pastor of Wellspring Family Church in South St. Louis. I grew up on the east side of the St Louis metro area (in Collinsville, IL) and moved to the Chicago suburbs after earning a Computer Science degree from the University of Illinois. I worked as a software developer-consultant-business executive for 20 years or so before finally figuring out that God wants me to be a pastor. While in Chicagoland, I met my amazing wife Faith and we adopted our son John. After completing my M.Div at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, we moved back (for me) to the St Louis area to plant churches with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA), but failed to achieve that vision -- read more about our amazing adventure of church planting here. The Lord then directed us to Wellspring, where I unexpectedly because an Associate Pastor, met Dan Rauch, Liz Frerichs, Noah Tatko, and Alicia Arnold ... and the six of us (including my wife, Faith) created Found in Jesus.

I guess there's a lot more I could talk about, but I've already done that in a few other places. So, how about this...

  • For more about me personally, my family's adventures over the years, or my theological position on a great many things: Check out my personal blog.

  • For more about the Found in Jesus concept / materials / why we built what we built and what it means, let's start with that discussion area in this community. Or you can download the app and begin to engage the materials directly.

  • To discuss the app itself or ask questions on anything related to it, that's another area of this community.

  • Or feel free to just start posting, and we'll get to connect that way. It's why we created this community in the first place.

Looking forward to the journey together! Thank you for your interest.
