The Found in Jesus Community (“Community,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a place where those interested in being with Jesus and becoming more like Jesus can discuss their relationship with the Lord, discipleship in general, the Found in Jesus mobile application (including feature requests, questions, ideas, usage issues, etc), "The Mine" Christian maturity assessment, and life in community in general.

By joining or participating, you agree to the following Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Community.

1. Purpose of the Community

The Community exists to:

  • Discuss identity in Jesus, apprenticeship to Jesus, and growth together as a body into Jesus

  • Support users of the Found in Jesus app, including the dissemination of information such as changelogs and product roadmap

  • Provide space for questions, feedback, and collaboration

  • Encourage and empower fellowship, unity, and spiritual maturity

This is a space built on truth, grace, mutual edification, respect, and encouragement.

2. Your Responsibilities

By using the Community, you agree to:

  • Be truthful, gracious, kind, and respectful in speech and conduct, modeled after Jesus

  • Avoid spam, advertising, or posts which promote a person or product

  • Avoid contentious speech, debating politics, cultural issues, or other individually-held convictions; in this space, we live in harmony with one another, not requiring others to believe the same things we believe, and instead focusing on the essentials of the faith

  • Refrain from hate speech, harassment, bullying, profanity, or threats

  • Avoid posting illegal or harmful content

  • Share only content you have the right to share

  • Respect other members’ privacy, never sharing someone else’s personal or sensitive information without consent

  • Follow moderator guidance and decisions

Moderators and administrators reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.

3. Account Usage

By using the Community, you agree to:

  • Provide truthful / accurate account information

  • Keep your login credentials private / secure

  • Not impersonate or misrepresent others

  • Not misuse the Community or attempt to disrupt its function or goals

Moderators and administrators reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.

4. Content You Submit

By posting content within the Community, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and use your content for purposes related to the functioning of the Community and the improvement of the Found in Jesus app.

You retain full ownership of your content.

You agree not to upload:

Copyrighted material without permission

Malicious files or links

Sensitive personal, financial, or confidential information

Any content that is inappropriate for the Community or that works at odds to its purpose (e.g. advertisements, political posts, nudity, sexually explicit material, distasteful humor or humor at another's expense, etc.)

5. Moderation

We reserve the right to:

  • Remove any post or comment that violate guidelines or which moderators or administrators consider inappropriate

  • Edit or move content for clarity or organization

  • Suspend or remove accounts

  • Limit or disable community features

All moderation decisions are final.

6. Use at Your Own Risk

The Community includes user-generated content. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of posts made by members of the community.

Always use discernment, especially in spiritual matters.

7. Third-Party Services

The Community platform is hosted on Bettermode, and may use other 3rd party services as well. Their terms and privacy policies also apply.

We are not responsible for outages, data loss, or errors caused by third-party services.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms or in order to protect the health and culture of the Community. Administrators and moderators are solely responsible for determine what constitutes a threat to the health and culture of the Community, and their decisions with regard to these matters are final.

You may delete your account at any time. We may delete accounts which have not been active for more than 90 days if deemed necessary by the administrator team.

9. Disclaimers

The Community is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We disclaim liability for:

  • Community downtime

  • Loss of data

  • Harm, perceived or actual, from user interactions or user-generated content

  • Unauthorized access to accounts

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from:

  • Use of the Community

  • Exposure to user content

  • Account suspension or termination

  • Technical issues, including but not limited to loss of data or lack of service availability

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to discontinue use of the Community.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the Community means you accept the updated terms.
